There are many versions of this fairy tale, the most popular is "Master Cat or Puss in Boots" by Charles Perrault. The trickster cat is very well-known character, who uses deceit and trickery to help his master. The fairy tale had noticeable impact on world culture and inspired many artists.
Sides of the box are decorated with detailed pictures and patterns. There are little details painted around the box to emphasize the cat character. Mother-of-pearl-inlays and gold leaf are used in various parts of the composition. Swarowski crystal is attached to the lid.
The box is constructed of paper-mache, interior is covered with lacquer. Ir is signed in gold, Fedoskino 2021.
