This famous fairy-tale by Hans Christian Andersen always inspires to create something new! "The little mermaid" has sad and beautiful story at the same time. She gave up her life in the sea, suffered for her love and gained a soul in the end.
The box`s composition slightly passes to all its decorated sides. Mother-of-pearl inlays and silver powder, gold leaf shine through various parts and emphasizes the beauty of sea theme. Also, most mother-of-pearl inlays create three-dimensional effect and overall depth of colours. The box`s lid can be opened with pearl-like decoration.
The box is constructed of paper-mache. Traditionally, the box's interior is covered with red lacquer. On the lid's interior there is also written in gold the title of the work, Fedoskino, Knyazev Sergey and the year of 2016.
