"Wish upon a Pike" is a well-known russian folk tale. Yemelya the fool catches the magical pike. It talks to him and grants power to fulfill any wishes in exchange for its life. Princess Nesmeyana, Tsar Gorokh`s daughter, changes Yemelya`s life even more.
Mother-of-pearl inlays shene through most parts of the composition. Tail of the fish is made of it too. Patterns in gold decorate all sides of the box.
The box is constructed of paper-mache, interior is painted with red lacquer, there is also written in gold: title of the work, Fedoskino, Knyazev Sergey and the year of 2017.
