Show all images on one page Creation of such detailed miniature took much time, finally great work is finished. It was inspired by J. R. R. Tolkien`s fantasy novel "The Hobbit, or There and Back Again". By accepting adventurous sides of his nature, the home-loving hobbit Bilbo Baggins starts his quest to win a share of the treasure guarded by the dragon Smaug. Following the story Bilbo gains even more - a new level of wisdom and maturity. You can find most characters of the novel painted on the scene, also impressive dragon Smaug, the guard of greatest treasures.
Every time you look at this miniature, more new details will be discovered. On the foreground there is a Lonely Mountain full of treasures, but the greatest one is Arkenstone. It is symbolized by blue Swarovsky crystal which serves to open the box`s lid. Mother-of-pearl inlays and golden leaf shine at most parts of the composition. Box`s sides are fully decorated including three-dimensional parts. One of the first photos shows the process of creation. The box is constructed from paper-mache. Interior of the box is covered with traditional red lacquer, there is also written in gold the title of the work, Fedoskino, Knyazev Sergey and the year of 2015. |
