Link to ebay may be added soon. "The Snow Queen" is a fairy tale by Hans Christian Andersen. The story centers on the struggle between good and evil as experienced by Gerda and her friend, Kai. Sides of the box are decorated with detailed pictures and patterns. Mother-of-pearl-inlays and gold leaf are used in various parts of the composition. Swarowski crystal is attached to the lid.
The box is constructed of paper-mache, interior is covered with lacquer. It is signed in gold, Fedoskino 2022.                       |
